Another game, another Toronto Blue Jays player suffering an injury.

Third baseman Brett Lawrie was forced to leave Monday night's game in Philadelphia in the fourth inning after pulling up while attempting to beat out a ground ball to shortstop.

The team has listed his status as day to day with right hamstring tightness.

Lawrie, 24, had been relatively healthy this season, appearing in 30 of Toronto's first 31 games.

He has dealt with various injuries during his four years in the major leagues but hasn't spent time on the disabled list with a hamstring problem.

Lawrie had picked up his performance at the plate of late, entering Monday's contest with multiple hits in seven of his previous 10 starts and riding a seven-game hitting streak during which he posted a .467 batting average.

Lawrie is hitting .233 overall this season with six home runs and 21 runs batted in.

The Blue Jays are currently minus first baseman Adam Lind (lower back tightness), infielder Maicer Izturis (left knee surgery and pitchers Brandon Morrow (torn tendon sheet, right hand) and Casey Janssen (left abdominal strain).
