Orioles slugger's ban extends into post-season

Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis has been suspended for 25 games by Major League Baseball after testing positive for an amphetamine.
The ban includes post-season games, MLB said.
Baltimore, which owns a 10-game lead atop the American League East, has 17 regular-season games remaining.
The Baltimore Sun reported that Davis issued a statement saying he "made a mistake by taking Adderall," which he had permission to use in the past but not this year.
Davis also reportedly said that he accepts the suspension and will begin serving it immediately.
The 28-year-old first baseman is batting only .196 this season but has 26 home runs. He hit a big-league-leading 53 last year.
The Orioles are already without catcher Matt Wieters and third baseman Manny Machado, both of whom sustained season-ending injuries.
